“My passion is golf and my commitment
is to the game – and to you!”
To competitive golfers in the New York metropolitan area and golf “insiders” around the golf world Gene Westmoreland is synonymous with integrity and quality service. Gene’s influence is felt in championship golf, international competition, club operations and administrative leadership.
Gene’s background and knowledge of golf, golfers and clubs is like few others. A senior member of the Metropolitan Golf Association staff for more than 30 years, an active member of USGA Championship Committees, a former President of the International Association of Golf Administrators and former Board member at both a public facility and a private club.
Gene got his start in the game caddying as a kid which may have inspired him to create, on behalf of the MGA, their unique “Caddie Academies” and their handbook “Getting Started as a Caddie”. He knows competitive golf as a player, a successful college coach, a volunteer and as a professional tournament director who has “written the book” on tournament administration.
An accomplished writer, speaker and advisor, Gene is now available to assist you. “More effective planning and techniques delivers a far more enjoyable and successful outcome and experience for everyone involved: players; sponsors; host clubs and yes, even your staff!”
